Christoph Beumelburg was named director of Group Communication & Investor Relations at HeidelbergCement. He will report to Dr. Bernd Scheifele, chairman of the managing board. The previous head of the function, Andreas Schaller, left to pursue opportunities outside of the organization.

Beumelburg has many years of experience in the field of communication and investor relations. He started his career at the chemical company BASF in 1995, where he held various management positions both domestically and abroad, including director of investor relations – USA.
In 2010, Beumelburg moved to the automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler, where he held the position of senior vice president of communications, marketing and investor relations. He holds an industrial engineering degree from the University of Kaiserslautern.
